I am an Irish Latvian-born illustrator, writer, and tattoo artist. Having obtained my BA in English and Art History from UCD, my primary goal is now becoming a published author.
My debut book The Devil’s Last Regret is a Gothic romance novel that focuses on a young woman’s journey to overcoming trauma and embodying all aspects of herself, both light and dark. My influences for writing come from Gothic literature, music, and local folktales. I hope to one day create a body of work that will speak to people who have always felt like they did not quite fit into the moulds imposed upon them by others. I want to let them know that they are not alone, and that darkness can always be overcome by the power within them.
In my spare time, I create illustrations, either digitally or through oil painting. My favourite subjects are horror, animals, nature and religion. I currently make a living working as a tattoo artist in Latvia.

This is the story of how a girl becomes a beast.
Violet Adler has always sought a life outside the quiet one which polite Victorian society has locked her into. But after losing herself in the forest and stumbling upon the secluded home of Oliver Belgrave, a man rumoured to be an occultist and a murderer, her desire is fulfilled in a way she did not bargain for.Forced into a marriage with her peculiar rescuer to avoid scandal, Violet's new life in Pale Woods Manor drives her further into the jaws of despair and delirium. Oliver's previous wives all met an untimely end and Violet fears her fate will be the same. Desperate to uncover evidence of her husband’s crimes and save herself, Violet faces vengeful spectres, a nightly whispering she alone seems to hear, and an unknown figure always standing at the foot of her bed. The world of the living provides little relief—two men with different intents claim to be her allies, but Violet isn't sure who to trust: the charming demonologist or the hunter whose sword is dripping with blood and sin?Oliver has a plan for her, and Violet is sure it will end with her tied to a sacrificial altar. But she has yet to discover that the darkest thing she must face in that house is herself. There is a beast inside of her, urging her to do terrible, ungodly things. And Violet might just be pushed far enough to let it out.
Note from the author
The Devil’s Last Regret is a duology about a young woman’s descent into madness. Its horror lies not only in the supernatural, but also in the horrors of girlhood. It is a tale of righteous female rage, a retelling of Beauty and the Beast in which the line between Beauty and Beast becomes blurred. It can also be read as a historical romance and a dark fairytale, all written in the style of a classic, slow-burn Gothic novel. The novel is a very personal one as I have woven it through with themes that have always been close to my heart. I wanted it to depict a wide variety of subjects, such as sexism, mental health and neurodiverse struggles, Catholic guilt, the shadow self, and grief. Above all, the central focus of the novel is trauma—childhood trauma that leads to repressed memories, generational trauma that women pass down to one another, toxic relationships that form as a result of trauma bonds, and how religious trauma stunts our moral development. It is an exploration of what it means to be human and how sin is inherently rooted in all of us, no matter how deeply we attempt to repress it.I also wanted to explore how folk beliefs were used to describe things that people did not have a name for at the time, such as Changelings as an allegory for neurodivergent children, or demonic possession as an explanation for what was actually Dissociative Identity Disorder. Please note, however, that the depictions of demonic possession in this novel are not intended to be a portrayal of DID, but rather a personification of the Jungian Shadow.I have completed the first book, as well as the first draft for the second one, Passion of the Deathless, which I am now editing. I intend to publish it as a duology. The release date of The Devil's Last Regret is currently unknown but my aim is for the end of 2025.I am very opposed to the use of generative AI in the creative field so please know that no AI was used for any part of this book's process. All of the art has been created by me.

Meet the Characters
Violet Adler
Violet is the protagonist of this story. She is kind, assertive and adventurous. She isn’t content to live a life of mundane complacency, wishing to seek out thrill instead. But being a Baron's daughter doesn't leave her with a choice. Her cursed curiosity leads her to the doorstep of Oliver Belgrave and consequently condemns her to a lifetime of trouble.Violet’s journey is about trying to stay alive in a world that seems intent on destroying her, and embracing both the shadow and the light within herself. Her battle with both men and ghosts leads her to uncovering disturbing aspects about her new life, as well as hideous truths that she has hidden about herself. Who is the Unknown Figure that watches over her bed each night? What are the memories from her childhood that she had repressed? The people in Violet’s life soon come to understand that there is nothing more powerful than a woman’s wrath.
“I only think that if men have the desire to seek adventure and be brave and reckless and bloodthirsty, why can’t women? Are we not of the same stock, you and I?”
Oliver Belgrave
Oliver is Violet’s new husband, through no will of her own. He is mysterious, arrogant and oh-so-witty. Though he appears to have devilishly handsome looks to match, Violet soon find that he has a rotten inside. His unforthcoming attitude and three dead wives do not a foretell a happy marriage.Though Violet is convinced that Oliver is the culprit for these murders, he remains impossible for her to decipher. His true intentions always keep her guessing, and his cunning mind has a way of making Violet question the soundness of hers. But certain events make Violet wonder if Oliver himself isn’t subject to some kind of dark manipulation.Even so, Oliver guards a terrible secret. Is he bad at his core, or has pain simply twisted him into being this way? His cold heart seems impossible to thaw, but perhaps that’s what he wants you to believe.
“Oh, but you’re right. No one better to tell me than you! Tell me again what a monster I am! Say it! I so adore to hear those words come from your lips.”
Cedric Darling
Cedric is Oliver’s faithful steward and Violet’s closest friend. He is warm, wise and charming. He is the perfect friend that one needs when their world spirals hopelessly out of control. Violet is grateful for his company in the house because it is a reprieve from the madness, a beacon of light in a world of darkness. He always gives her a shoulder to cry on.However, it soon becomes apparent that there are certain things Cedric isn’t telling Violet. After a while of hearing his comforting words, she begins to wonder where his true loyalties lie. Is Cedric not what he seems to be, or is Violet’s growing paranoia clouding her judgement? But Cedric has his own internal conflict to overcome. Can he allow himself to choose between his heart and doing the right thing? A cruel decision to make when both paths lead to heartbreak.
“We have survived ordeals together most people cannot fathom. But perhaps that is all there is to… this. Perhaps that is all there ever was. Look at what we’ve done. Together we’re poison..”
Morgan Belgrave
Morgan is Oliver’s brother, as well as an enigma. He is quiet, brave, hot-headed and soft-hearted, and always puts the safety of the vulnerable above his own. Morgan is a monster hunter with an unusual quality—he is a monster himself. At least that is what he has been told all his life, that he is not a man but a Changeling.Though his unclear identity has haunted him his entire life, Morgan is determined to prove his humanity. More than that, he wants to prove to others, and himself, that he is worthy of love. And capable of it too.Violet teaches him that despite h years of resentment, he can still be kind. Morgan teaches her acceptance of her own nature, something he has yet to master himself. Can Morgan admit to who he is and what he really wants, or will his pride become his downfall?
“Being a monster absolves me. It means I can be less than perfect. If I am a monster, I am allowed to be angry. I am allowed to be unlovable.”
